Itinerary
Days 1–2: fly to Aqaba, transfer and check in. Day two is free, with an optional Red Sea boat trip and snorkelling at €62 per adult.
Day 3: Petra, a UNESCO site reached through a one-kilometre passage between 80-metre cliffs, with its rock-cut tombs, temples, altars and streets. Overnight in the Petra area.
Day 4: Madaba, known as the city of mosaics, with a walk to the Orthodox Church of St George (not entered), then Mount Nebo, which looks out over the Jordan valley, the Dead Sea, Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Overnight in Amman.
Day 5: a two-hour tour of central Amman, taking in the Citadel, the Amphitheatre and the Archaeological and Folklore museums, followed by the Roman city of Jerash and Ajloun Castle.
Days 6–7: free time on a Dead Sea beach, then dinner and a night at a Wadi Rum camp. Next morning there is an optional two-hour desert jeep safari at €23 before the drive back to Aqaba.
Day 8: transfer to Aqaba airport and fly home to Sofia.
Included in the Price
- Bulgaria Air flights Sofia–Aqaba–Sofia with airport taxes, 20 kg checked and 5 kg hand luggage, and an air-conditioned coach for the whole route.
- With 4-star hotels: 3 nights in Aqaba at Baity Boutique, 1 in Petra at Petra Castle, 2 in Amman at Mena Tyche and 1 at the Hassan Zawaydeh camp in Wadi Rum, all 4-star or similar.
- With 3-star hotels: 3 nights in Aqaba at Al Zaitouna, 1 in Petra at Al Sharah Mountain and 2 in Amman at Olive Hotel, all 3-star or similar, plus 1 night at Shaheen Camp in Wadi Rum or similar.
- Breakfast daily, dinner at the Wadi Rum camp, and visits to Petra, Madaba, Mount Nebo, Amman, Jerash, Ajloun and the Dead Sea.
- A licensed local guide throughout, a group leader from Bulgaria and medical insurance with €10,000 cover.
Compulsory Extra Charges
- Entrance fees for the sites visited: €142 per adult, €91 per child aged 2–11.99.
- Handling fee for the local partner's office: €5.
- Tips for the driver and local guide: US$5 a day, paid at the end of each day, so small change is useful.
- Fuel and emissions surcharge: currently €54, with the final amount announced 21 days before the flight.
Optional Excursions and Other Costs
- Red Sea boat trip with snorkelling: €62 per adult, €28 per child aged 2–11.99; Wadi Rum jeep safari: €23.
- Six-dinner package in Aqaba, Petra and Amman: €49 per adult and €38 per child with 4-star hotels, €41 and €31 with 3-star hotels.
- Flight seats, per direction: €15 in row 1, €10 in row 2, €5 in rows 3 and 4, €10 for a middle-row seat with extra legroom.
- Drinks with meals and personal expenses. A refund package for travellers medically barred from travelling, at extra cost.
Dinners in Aqaba, Petra and Amman are not in the price; if you want them, ask for the six-dinner package when you book.
