Christmas in Budapest: Fisherman's Bastion and the Danube
Five days in Budapest for the Christmas markets, Castle Hill and Fisherman's Bastion. Vienna is an optional day out; two variants include a city tour and a Danube cruise.

Itinerary
Day 1: a Wizz Air flight to Budapest, or a charter to Bratislava followed by a transfer of about 200 km to Budapest. Check in and free time.
Day 2: a panoramic tour of Heroes' Square and the Millennium Monument, Castle Hill, Fisherman's Bastion and the outside of Matthias Church, then free time at the Christmas markets in the centre. In the evening, a one-hour Danube cruise with a glass of champagne. The tour (€30) and the cruise (€38) are optional, and both are included in the two bonus variants.
Day 3: an optional Danube Bend trip (€61) to Esztergom and St Adalbert's Basilica, then the artists' town of Szentendre. Optional in the evening: a folk show with a three-course Hungarian menu (€61).
Day 4: free time or an optional day in Vienna (€76) for the Hundertwasser House, the Ringstrasse, the Belvedere, the Hofburg, the Plague Column, St Stephen's Cathedral and the Christmas market at the City Hall.
Day 5: transfer to the airport and flight to Sofia. On the charter variants the flight leaves from Bratislava.
Included in the Price
- Wizz Air flights Sofia–Budapest–Sofia or a Bulgaria Air charter Sofia–Bratislava–Sofia, depending on the variant, with 20 kg checked and 5 kg hand luggage.
- 4 nights with breakfast at Danubius Hotel Hungaria or Danubius Hotel Arena 4*.
- Transfers between airport and hotel, a representative for the whole stay and travel insurance with a €10,000 limit.
- Bonus variants only: the panoramic tour of Budapest and the one-hour Danube cruise.
Compulsory Extra Charges
- Fuel and emissions charge, published 21 days before the flight.
- City tax; the programme does not state the amount.
- Headsets: €12 for the stay (€3 a day), paid to the guide locally; children under 6 go free.
- Administration fee of €5 for the local partner's office.
