Itinerary
Day 1: Land in Luleå and transfer to Finnish Lapland. Visit a reindeer farm, feed the animals and take a short reindeer sleigh ride, then set off on a two-hour snowmobile safari in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Drive to Rovaniemi on the Arctic Circle. The group has priority entry to Father Christmas's office, so you can meet him and take a photo without a long queue, followed by free time in the village and at his post office.
Day 3: A husky sled ride through the snow, then on to Luleå in Swedish Lapland. In a traditional Sami lavvu tent you learn about reindeer herding, feed the reindeer and have a hot drink with pastries.
Day 4: A tour of Gammelstad church town, a World Heritage Site, and the Hägnan open-air museum. Ice fishing on a frozen lake, a two-course lunch and, in the evening, a Northern Lights hunt outside the city with a local guide.
Day 5: Transfer to Luleå airport for the flight home.
Included in the Price
- Direct Bulgaria Air flights Sofia–Luleå–Sofia with airport taxes, 20 kg checked and 5 kg cabin baggage, plus airport transfers.
- 4 nights with breakfast and dinner: 2 at Park Hotel Tornio 4* or similar in Finland and 2 at Quality Hotel 4* or similar in Luleå.
- Eight activities: the reindeer farm and sleigh ride, the snowmobile safari, priority access to Father Christmas, the husky ride, the Sami lavvu visit, Gammelstad and Hägnan, ice fishing and the Northern Lights hunt.
- A two-course lunch of local dishes, a Bulgarian-speaking representative and medical insurance with €10,000 cover.
Compulsory Extra Charges
- Fuel and emissions surcharge, announced 21 days before the flight.
- Municipal tax, paid at hotel reception; the local authority sets the amount and may change it without notice.
- Headsets for the tours: €10, paid locally to the guide. Children under 6 do not use headsets and pay nothing.
- Local partner's administrative fee: €5.
Optional Excursions and Other Costs
- Maximum Security package: €15. It refunds what you have paid if a medical reason prevents you from travelling.
