Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Cairo and visit the Egyptian Museum with a guide, entry and headsets, followed by lunch and check-in. In the evening you can join a Nile dinner cruise with an oriental show or the Sound and Light show at the Giza pyramids; no prices are given for either.

Day 2: The Giza pyramids with a guide and entry, then a drive of about 7 hours (around 500 km) to Hurghada. If your flight reaches Cairo in the afternoon, the whole Cairo programme takes place on this day.

Days 3–5: Beach time, or optional trips: diving and snorkelling on the reefs (€65), a glass-bottom boat and a full day in Luxor with Karnak, the temple of Hatshepsut and the Valley of the Kings (€110).

Days 6–7: Relax at the hotel or choose a day on Paradise Island with snorkelling, or Badawya VIP in the desert with ATVs, jeeps, camels, an oriental dinner and a show (€65).

Day 8: Transfer to Hurghada airport, about 40 minutes, for the flight home.
