New Year in Bari: Matera, Alberobello and Lecce

Itinerary
Day 1: on 30 December, a direct Wizz Air flight to Bari and hotel check-in. Optional: a walking tour of the old town with the Basilica of St Nicholas and the seafront promenade (€30).
Day 2: free time or an optional half-day trip to Matera (€79) to walk among the ancient stone Sassi districts. In the evening, New Year on Bari's main square alongside local residents.
Day 3: an optional full day in Alberobello, known for its stone trulli houses, and white-housed Locorotondo, with a tasting of home-made liqueurs and sweets (€100).
Day 4: an optional full day in baroque Lecce and the walled coastal town of Otranto (€100).
Day 5: free time in Bari, the airport transfer and a direct flight to Sofia.
Included in the Price
- Direct Wizz Air flights Sofia–Bari–Sofia with airport taxes and one 20 kg checked bag.
- 4 nights with breakfast at Hotel Boston 4* in Bari.
- Airport transfers and a representative on site.
- Travel medical insurance, €10,000 cover.
Compulsory Extra Charges
- Municipal tax: €3 per person per day, paid locally.
- Fuel and emissions charge, set 21 days before you fly.
- Headsets on the excursions: €15 (€3 a day), owed to the guide on the spot. Children under 6 do not use them and pay nothing.
- Administration fee of €5 for the local partner's service.
Optional Excursions and Other Costs
- Bari walking tour: €30 per adult.
- Matera: €79, plus about €2 each for the cathedral and the Casa Grotta cave museum.
- Alberobello and Locorotondo with tasting: €100; Lecce and Otranto: €100, plus about €7 each for Lecce Cathedral and Santa Croce.
- Cover refunding your payment if you are medically barred from travelling: €10.
