Itinerary
Day 1: on 30 December, fly Wizz Air to Prague and transfer to your chosen hotel.
Day 2: an optional walking tour with a licensed local guide speaking Bulgarian, taking in Prague Castle and St Vitus Cathedral, Malá Strana, Charles Bridge and Old Town Square with its Astronomical Clock. Also optional: a two-hour buffet dinner on a Vltava boat.
Day 3: free time or an optional day in Dresden (€71) for the Zwinger, Opera Square, the Royal Cathedral and the Frauenkirche. Museums visited in free time cost extra.
Day 4: free time or optional Karlovy Vary (€71), the spa town known for its mineral springs, followed by an optional dinner with Czech music and dance (€61).
Day 5: free until noon or a half-day visit to Karlštejn Castle, then the airport transfer and the flight home to Sofia.
Included in the Price
- Return Wizz Air flights between Sofia and Prague, with 20 kg checked and 5 kg cabin luggage.
- 4 nights with breakfast at a chosen hotel: Hotel Duo Prague 4*, Hotel Julis I 4* or Hotel Crystal Palace 4*.
- Transfers from the airport to the hotel and back, and a representative on hand for the whole stay.
- Travel medical insurance with cover of up to €10,000.
Compulsory Extra Charges
- New Year's dinner at Hotel Duo Prague, if you choose that hotel. The programme does not give the amount.
- Fuel and emissions charge: the amount is known 21 days before departure.
- City tax of about €2.20 per person for each night.
- Headsets on the tours: €12 in total, €3 per day, payable locally; children under 6 do not pay.
- Processing fee for the local partner: €5.
Optional Excursions and Other Costs
- Prague walking tour, Vltava dinner cruise and half-day Karlštejn visit: price on request.
- Day trips to Dresden and Karlovy Vary: €71 per adult each; evening of Czech music and dance: €61.
- Front-row seat: €15 per flight; public transport ticket: CZK 40.
- Package refunding your payment if a doctor bars you from travelling: €20.
The day-by-day programme does not list a separate event for New Year's Eve.
