What to Do If an Insured Event Happens

Within 48 hours, notify the assistance company, Eurocross Assistance, and ask it for help. Its contact number is in your insurance documents. For an insured event in Turkey, using Eurocross Assistance is mandatory.

If you do not notify Eurocross Assistance in time, or do not go to the medical facility it names, you pay for the emergency care yourself and then submit your claim to the insurer. If you have not used Eurocross Assistance, notify the insurer within 7 days, at the claims centre of ZD Euroins AD.

  • Theft of baggage: within 24 hours of discovering the theft, report it to the local police or another authorised body, and give the insurer the document they issue together with your declaration. You must also prove that the stolen items existed and what they were worth.
  • Lost or delayed baggage: provide invoices for the essentials you bought, a declaration or certificate from the airline stating the reasons, and your flight ticket.
  • Flight delay: provide a declaration or certificate from the airline stating the reasons for the delay, and your flight ticket.

If you have not used Eurocross Assistance, the compensation is set and paid after the insurer checks the original documents listed in the General Terms of the insurance. For a worry-free trip, read the General Terms before you set off.
