🏔️ Winter Panoramas from Choveka, Osogovo’s 2,047 m Peak

❄️ Winter, snow, endless horizons and views towards four countries! Are you ready for a winter adventure in the heart of the Osogovo Mountains?

This time we invite you to climb Choveka Peak (2,047 m), one of Osogovo’s most panoramic summits. It does not require strenuous physical effort, but generously rewards us with wonderful views!

🥾 An enjoyable winter hike awaits us among snowy landscapes, fresh mountain air and breathtaking panoramas towards dozens of mountains and many peaks in Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia and North Macedonia.

When the winter cold makes itself felt, we will take a well-earned break for hot tea at Osogovo Hut. ☕

We will walk at a good pace, enjoy nature, share smiles and, of course, make new mountain memories!

Travel is by private car on a car-sharing basis.

🎒 Required Equipment

To stay comfortable and protected in the winter mountains, bring:

A hiking rucksack;
Winter or three-season hiking boots;
Snowshoes, depending on snow conditions (available to hire from us);
Trekking poles with large snow baskets;
A windproof and waterproof jacket;
A down jacket and fleece;
Thermal base layers, top and bottom;
Two pairs of gloves;
A winter hat and a summer hat;
A neck gaiter or face mask;
Hiking gaiters;
A head torch;
A raincoat;
Sunglasses;
Sunscreen and lip balm;
Water and a hot drink, at least 1.5 litres, preferably in a flask.
