❄️ Ready for a winter encounter with one of the most beautiful panoramic summits in the Tran region?

This time we invite you to head towards Ruy Peak (1,706 m), the highest point of the mountain of the same name, standing proudly above Tran and revealing wonderful views towards the mountains of Bulgaria and Serbia!

Did you know that Bulgaria’s lowest temperature was recorded in Tran? 🥶 But don’t let that mislead you! Winter in the mountains can also be sunny, cheerful and wonderfully welcoming!

A day of snowy landscapes, fresh mountain air and open views reaching far beyond the border awaits us. From the summit, we will try together to identify the dozens of mountains and peaks before us!

Travel is by private car on a car-sharing basis.

🎒 Required Equipment

Winter mountains require good preparation! Please pay particular attention to your equipment:

A hiking rucksack;

Winter or three-season hiking boots;
Snowshoes, depending on snow conditions (you can hire them from us);
Trekking poles with large snow baskets;
A windproof and waterproof jacket;
A down jacket and fleece;
Thermal base layers, top and bottom;
Hiking gaiters;
A neck gaiter or face mask;
Two pairs of gloves;
A winter hat and a summer hat;
A head torch;
A raincoat;
Sunglasses;
Sunscreen and lip balm;
Water and a hot drink, at least 1.5 litres, preferably in a flask.
