The winter mountains are magical: quiet, beautiful and majestic. But behind this beauty lie dangers that we should not underestimate. ❤️❄️

We at Shery Tour EOOD believe that good preparation is the key to safe mountain adventures. That is why we invite you to join our two-day winter mountaineering course in Rila, where you will learn to move with greater confidence, recognise risks and enjoy the winter mountains with more knowledge and responsibility.

🎯 Who Will Lead the Course?

This year, once again, our lecturer and instructor will be Milen Anastasov, a fellow mountain guide, paramedic and mountain rescuer, who will share his experience and practical knowledge.

🧭 What Will You Learn?

✅ Basic techniques for moving in winter conditions and the correct use of snowshoes, crampons and an ice axe.

✅ How to choose suitable equipment for the winter mountains.

✅ How to follow and interpret the weather forecast.

✅ The basics of avalanche safety and recognising risks.

✅ First aid in winter conditions: emergencies, signs of frostbite and what to do in an accident.

✅ Organising a winter bivouac.

✅ The basics of moving as a roped team and using a rope when crossing short, non-technical terrain.

🎒 Personal Equipment Required:

Winter boots with stiff soles.

Crampons, an ice axe and a harness.

Warm winter clothing suitable for spending extended periods outdoors.

Trousers and a jacket with a membrane.

Gaiters, if needed.

A hat and/or helmet, glasses and a personal first-aid kit.

Do not have all the equipment you need? Do not worry! Some of the equipment, including a helmet, harness, ice axe and snowshoes, can be rented from us or purchased from Sport Depot stores.

💰 Price: 125 euros

The price includes: ✔️ Licensed lecturers and instructors for the theoretical and practical sessions. ✔️ Insurance for the duration of the event. ✔️ Organisation fee.

The price does not include transport, food, accommodation or personal expenses. Those who wish may arrive on Friday.

The deposit can be refunded if you cancel up to 5 days before the event starts. In the event of a health problem, a medical document is required. In all other cases after this deadline, the deposit is retained to cover organisational expenses.
